Correction or punishment is information given to your dog. We use corrections to motivate your dog not to continue bad behaviours, just like we reward a dog to motivate him to make behaviour we want more likely.

Punishment does NOT mean hitting or beating you dog.
The intensity, frequency, and type of punishment will be relevant to your dog’s temperament, the behaviours being displayed and the tools we choose to use.
