ITK9 is seeking dedicated and experienced Dog Trainers to join our team as independent contractors. In this role, you will provide board and train services, taking 2-3 dogs into your home to meet our comprehensive program criteria. If you are passionate about dog training and possess the skills to handle a variety of breeds and behaviors, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Board and Train Services:

• Host 2-3 dogs in your home for training.
• Provide clients with regular updates, pictures, videos, and homework.
• Submit progress updates to ITK9 everyday via video.

Training Techniques:

• Utilize tools such as e-collars, prong collars, pet convincers, flat collars, and slip leads.
• Train dogs on on- and off-leash obedience, from puppies to adults.
• Address behavior modification needs, including anxiety and aggression.

Professional Interactions:

• Engage with clients and the public in a professional manner.
• Commit to continuing education to enhance your training skills for both dogs and humans.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in dog training, including on- and off-leash obedience.
• Ability to handle and train both small and large breeds.
• Skilled in using various training tools (e-collars, prong collars, etc.).
• Experience in behavior modification for issues such as anxiety and aggression.
• Excellent communication skills for client updates and interactions.
• Commitment to professional development in dog training.
